Led by Head Coach Joe Niland & Associate Head Coach Shaddrick Jenkins, Mobile made its 9th trip to the NAIA National Championship in 21 years of competition.  Mobile is 8-8 all-time in 9 trips to the NAIA National Championship. Mobile advanced to the Championship game in 1999 and made it to the Final 4 in 2004.

Joe Lewellen escorted the team as Honorary Coach. Carrying forward a Lewellen family tradition started by Bob Lewellen in 1959 in which this year marks their 38th year of sponsorship and Joe's 22nd team.
